Actually, only the top 1/3 or so of the CME is still readable. I was hoping someone might have some input, good or bad, about it. It has a welded face, (it's a two-piece) and weighed 98.5 pounds on a scale.

I did find that it was sold by Sears and possibly made around 1910.

The sides of it have a pattern to them kind of like it was hammered or forged, I don't know if it was made to look that way or if it's from wear.

I don't have a digital camera so I doubt I can post any pics I'll just have to describe it the best I can. My anvil is a Trenton with the marking ACME on the side from 1913. Smoky Rick I purchased my first "real" anvil yesterday!
